Edison Muslim Community Center (EMCC) stands as a beacon for the Muslim community in the bustling heart of South Edison, NJ, embracing a diverse and expanding congregation. For nearly 2 decades, EMCC has dedicated its efforts to establishing a masjid in the South area of Edison, NJ, drawing ever closer to making this vision a reality.
Alhamdulillah, The Edison Muslim Community Center (EMCC) currently owns the 157 Plainfield Ave, Edison, NJ property, where a permanent masjid will be constructed in the property, which includes a brand-new building, expanded parking lot and expansion of the existing building.
EMCC will be acquiring the adjacent neighboring property 159 Plainfield Avenue, Edison, NJ as a future proof strategic plan to facilitate the construction of a new, expanded masjid facility and the parking lot. This strategic acquisition is essential to our comprehensive $3 million construction project, which will secure the overall investment and the required parking space.

- Phase 1 βΒ Loan Payment, Township and County Approval (COMPLETED)
- Phase 2 – Acquisition of the neighboring property (IN-PROGRESS)
- Phase 3 βΒ Initial permits, Demolition, and Construction of the foundation (Q1, 2026)
- Phase 4 βΒ Construction of the Elevation, Plumbing, Electricals, and internal finishes
- Phase 5 βΒ Construction of the Exterior walls, insulation, parking lot, landscaping & final permits.
